When Birdsong Events owner Elizabeth Miller Trinkler¹s son, Owen, got engaged, he and fiancée Jennifer knew that they wanted a simple southern wedding at a place where they could truly enjoy time with their family and friends. The property had been part of Owens’ family dating all the way back to the 1800¹s. The property had been a Bed and Breakfast for many years and was known for its cozy country charm. Owen and Jennifer saw the great potential in the property as an event venue and knew it was the place where they wanted to exchange their vows and begin their new life together.
Birdsong Lodge is located on nine acres about thirty minutes northwest of downtown Nashville on the beautiful and serene Sycamore Creek. Here you will be surrounded by history and nature from the old iron bridge constructed in 1831 to the 100 year old cedar log home built as a hunting lodge and country retreat by the prominent Cheek family (Founders of Cheekwood) The historic iron bridge is on the historic registry and is the only six span iron bridge left standing in the country. The bridge was built by Major Eugene Castner Lewis, who was also responsible for the building of the Parthenon and Union Station located in Downtown Nashville. The property offers five different locations where a wedding can take place, with the bridge being one of them.
Birdsong Lodge will be the place that will always be remembered as the beginning to Owen and Jennifer¹s Happily Ever After. They wanted to make this property available to others so that they can have the wedding of their dreams just as they did. Whether it is a small intimate wedding or a large extravagant celebration, there are endless possibilities to the property and making your dream a reality. Your special day at Birdsong Lodge will without a doubt be one with an abundance of love and many memories that will last a lifetime.
